Award Offered To Finder Of Marbled Murrelet Nest
The National Audubon Society offers $100 for the first verified discovery of a nesting site for the elusive Marbled Murrelet. The bird, seen near coastal Alaska to California, has never had a nest located despite being common sighted during its breeding season. Nesting clues include cliff cavities or high redwood trees, with researchers hopeful a lucky observer will reveal the nesting spot.
