Baseball salaries ruled open for merit raises under Bureau plan
Washington reports the Treasury Bureau ruled that all baseball players except the top-paid on each club may seek a raise within the club's established salary range without prior Bureau approval. The top earner may request a merit-based raise, with all agreements still submitted to the Bureau for approval.
