A drastic temperature drop hits Frederick with a low near eight degrees and a Sunday high around sixty three. Winds gust to 36 mph, snow patches fade, and power lines see minor issues as residents brace for continuing cold.

The Cape Fear coast area and Wrightsville Beach suffered major damage with losses tallied in the hundreds of thousands.
