Havre de Grace Track Set to Open July 6
Maryland racing commission approved Havre de Grace key dates to open July 6 for an 11 day meeting, aligning schedules with nearby tracks. The move makes Havre de Grace the earliest Maryland track to start in July, following Garden State in Delaware and conflicting with Garden State’s schedule. The plan moves spring points to late March, with Pimlico and Bowie also adjusting dates. Garden State runs April 15 to May 31, Havre de Grace expects to run July 6 to July 16, and fall slots remain unchanged.
