Funding Doubt Clouds Frederick Tourism Welcome Center

Frederick County tourism officials pressed for a regional welcome center at the old Seventh Day Adventist Church site on Adventist Drive to capture traffic between Gettysburg and Washington. They seek 411000 to 473000 for design in this budget, with costs estimated from 4.8 to 5.8 million for 18 000 square feet. The governor's budget omits the project, complicating chances without a supplemental budget and a tobacco tax outcome. Delegates Louise Snodgrass and Sue Hecht joined Joe Bryce in discussions.
