The LAC urged the three member board to start construction on a new Walkersville area elementary school costing 8.1 million dollars with capacity for 670 students. State funding is unavailable this year per Dr. Stensler of the IAC, and the county budget officer says next year’s budget omits the funding, though officials view it as a windfall not to be counted on.
