John McEwan, long thought dead after a World Trade Center attack, is revealed alive. Authorities said he survived the events and was not killed in the September 11 attacks, contradicting prior public statements or campaigns that used footage of the incident.
Borukove of the NYC Medical Examiner’s Office notes the nearly 3100 World Trade Center deaths. Mr McEwan, once with Advantage Data Systems in a WTC tower, was missing after Sept 11 and later found to have escaped. Authorities could not verify his current whereabouts or back child support, per the ex-wife and others.
Otto Nuss a 63 year old school bus driver abducted 13 Pennsylvania children taking them on a 100 mile odyssey toward Washington D C before stopping in Landover Maryland and surrendering to an off duty officer. Children said they played games and were not frightened reporting no abuse occurred.
Maryland redraws the Sixth Congressional District from Backbone Mountain to the Susquehanna River under new boundaries proposed by the Governor's Redistricting Advisory Committee. The map, created over six months, shifts Damascus into Montgomery County, keeps western Howard County only at its edge, and adds areas across northern Baltimore and Stafford counties. After formal approval, the General Assembly must endorse. The panel cites “communities in interest” while admitting the line breaks are tortured, meant to reflect 2000 Census changes and ensure more conservative representation.
Rep Roscoe Bartlett filed for a sixth term in Congress in Annapolis on Thursday, submitting paperwork to Maryland officials. He criticized Congress as gridlocked and pledged to press for reform while defending his track record and priorities.
