Aldermen hear annexation petition for historic farmstead
Frederick officials weighed a petition to annex 2.29 acres at 8032 Liberty Road without removing the 19th century brick house. Proponents cited a plan to build an animal hospital and extend public sewer, while preservationists urged attaching conditions to save the residence. Alderman Nash sought more time to review, and officials approved 50,000 in matching funds for the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center renovations.
