Peace goal dominates Bosnia mission say Hood prof
Dr. Leonard Latkovski of Hood College told Rotarians the Bosnia mission should be judged by peace restoration rather than toll. He warned against viewing the conflict as ancient hostilities and blamed political leaders for stirring war while noting Milosevic sought Bosnian territory and formed Bosnian Serbs paramilitaries. He added most Islamic countries welcome American troops in Bosnia as defenders of Muslim interests and cited the November Bosnia peace accords.
