Frederick County backs Mahoney for Senate throne
Four of five Frederick County Democrats endorse George P. Mahoney for the U S Senate. The vote occurred Monday night with Nikirk absent and Mrs. Louise Fraley declining. Abrecht announced the endorsement and namedAbrecht Joseph E Chen George E Hamilton and John Daniel Leather man as supporters. Mahoney HQs in Baltimore also publicized the endorsement citing leadership qualifications.

Lovettsville Victims Of Route 7 Crash Hospitalized
Loudoun County Superintendent of Schools and Mrs. O L Emerick are in Loudoun Hospital with injuries from a Route 7 crash near Herndon last Thursday. The superintendent suffered a broken knee and facial cuts. Mrs Emerick has a fractured skull and head cuts.

Young Man Arrested On Assault Charge
Willis Jimmie Rogers age 18 of 476 West South Street was arrested by city police Tuesday night on a charge of assault and battery. The arrest followed a warrant issued through the courthouse and Rogers was released after booking at the police station.

Court Martial Term For Major Is Reduced
John N. Scioli, Philadelphia Army officer, saw his court martial sentence reduced to two years confinement on review, while the dismissal and forfeiture of pay remained. Parks approved only the loan charges from enlisted men. Scioli to be released from Ft Meade stockade soon. A second review could not restore voided portions. Flags in procession will lead Washington Cathedral services February 3 with state and American flags at the head.
