Frank A. Furst chairman of the Arundel Corporation and a major force in Maryland politics died at 88 after several months illness. Born in Germany he rose from shoemaker apprentice to grain elevator business and top executive, once seen as the only man able to unite Democratic factions in the state. He never held public office and passed after pneumonia. Last rites were given shortly before his death.
