Parables Of Jesus Apply To Life In Any Age
The article argues that Jesus parables are eastern in imagery and universally applicable. It highlights the Parable of the Sower as about hearers not the seed, and notes the Kingdom parables show growth from small beginnings, illustrating how Christianity expanded globally.

Religious Education Schools Are Opened
Two religious education programs began Monday at Calvary Methodist church and run weekly through February 7. The School for Christian Workers enrolled 43 adults and youth teachers, with Rev. Dr. Benjamin W. Meeks as dean and Rev. G. E. Wunder registrar. The Youth Fellowship, headed by Rev. Bayley Jones, drew 70 youth, with Elaine Windsor registrar. Courses include Bible study methods and worship symbolism, with class times from 7:30 to 9:50 p.m., including recreation and worship intervals. Weather curtailed attendance, with Frederick church schools dropping to 1,701 and many enrollments under 50 percent. Brig. Charles H. C. Dodd of the Salvation Army will lead services Sunday at Frederick headquarters, assisted by Capt. George Crendenhan, newly appointed youth secretary.

God Speaks To Busy People And Devotional Leaders
Strength For Today presents an essay on God speaking to people in active labor from Moses to fishermen. It notes skepticism of leisure as salvation and urges finding God in work and daily life, followed by devotional leaders scheduled for morning broadcasts and a brief remark on the croquet craze reaching America in 1866.
