State Roads Commission received eight bids for three counties led by Wright Construction Co. for Interstate 70 widening from Great Tierney Creek to near Millstone in Washington County at 3.76 miles with 7.31 miles of access roads. Princemont Construction Co. proposed a Montgomery County project priced at 2,078,048.25. Case Construction Corp. bid 564,630 for a bridge near Forest Glen Road. A Farmers meeting program outlined forage management topics with speakers from University of Maryland Virginia Tech and other institutions.
