Sea Food Study To Be Undertaken In State
Annapolis Jan 20 A Chesapeake Bay study aimed at increasing Maryland sea food production will be undertaken this spring by the US Fish and Wildlife Service in cooperation with the State Conservation Department. The Board of Natural Resources announced the project after a meeting of officials. The six month survey, the first in the bay since oyster bars were charted between 1906 and 1912, will examine oyster mortality in the upper bay, oyster enemies, and salt content of the bay.
