Fair Share energy bill gains support amid budget concerns
Consumers urge the PSC to set basic energy needs, then cut residential rates 25 percent for that use. Del. Sklar predicts passage as citizen backed, while Garrity warns heavy utility lobbying. DeSarno argues the bills curb rates for homes and shift costs to business, citing funding gaps for consumer counsel. Protests occur as lawmakers hold short sessions, with Senate approving a stadium admission tax measure 36-3 and Frederick County attendees listed.
