Frederick Jaycees Build Community Through Leadership Training
During Jaycee Week January 18 to 24, the Frederick Jaycees celebrate the 56th US Jaycees anniversary. The Frederik Jaycees, founded 1938, run leadership training and community projects including the Fall Festival Parade, a track meet, and a Christmas party for underprivileged children. They support drug and alcohol abuse education, serve as hosts for public programs, and run the Frederick County Horse Show, Radio Day on WFMD, and Thunderbird Night. The group relies on corporate sponsors and annual dues of 20 dollars, with 9 Frederick Jaycees named as JCI Senators for exceptional service.
