Fifty years of Fitzhugh Lee Chapter marked in Frederick
The Fitzhugh Lee Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy marked its 50th anniversary with 54 members and guests at the Francis Scott Key Hotel. Miss Anna Floyd presided, recounting 50 years since the 1899 founding at Poplar Terrace, and Parson Newman delivered reflections on Lee, Antietam, and postwar treatment. The dinner featured a turkey meal, red and white decorations, and remarks by veterans and Hood College vi de singers, with current officers listed.
