Three Drowned Skating Near York Dam and Bridge
Three swimmers perished while skating near York Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon. Fourteen year old Wilson Thomas died after breaking through ice at Louk s dam north of the city, while two young women Miss Anna Klaiber and Mrs Folip Hei died at Grantley street bridge when ice gave way. Hans Haas tried to save them but could not. Rescue attempts by others were hampered as ice broke and two boys also sank while aiding the scene.
