Anniversary of Rebekahs Lodge Celebrated in Mercedis Parish Hall
About 190 members and guests attended the fourteenth anniversary of the Rebekah Samaritan Lodge No 51 I O O F at Calvary Mercedis Episcop al Church Parish Hall. S K Brown of W pass grand master of Maryland presided as grand master and welcomed attendees. Rev C D Shaffer spoke and a history of the lodge was given by Charles F Seeger noting growth from 79 members in 1919 to about 180 active members. A variety of musical selections and readings followed, with remarks on the lodge’s work for the State Home and Hospital.
