Brunswick considers 250 acre annexation request
Howard R. Stepler Jr. for Laenir Group II Inc. seeks to annex 250 acres of farmland north of Brunswick. Plans call for at least 1,500 single family homes on 190 acres, plus 60 acres for light industrial and heavy commercial use. The Hope farm borders MA 17, and annexation would come with a tax abatement while preserving farming. Brunswick officials have not yet reviewed the request or set terms, with Mayor Richard G. Campbell noting uncertainty on next steps.
