Walkersville weighs storm drain plans after sink hole
John Poole Jr. told the Walkersville town commission that a Maple Avenue home now has three holes beneath it and fears drainage from the Grantham property. Officials said Rothenhoeter Engineers prepared a plan for a two year storm system costing about $0.5 million, with full ten year coverage potentially costing around $1 million and broader works possibly $10 million. some members favored buying homes in drainage paths.
