Refunding Sought for Mirror Project in Frederick Schools
Preparations underway to seek renewal funding for the MIRROR Project operating in four Frederick County elementary schools South Frederick East Frederick Elm Street and Urbana. The plan, active for two years, aims to raise academic performance and human relations and must renew annually to meet federal rules. The process includes informing non public schools about participation meeting with parents and engaging community leaders. A Jan 7 meeting with non public school administrators yielded useful input for the proposal. The MIRROR Advisory Board will meet at Elm Street School Jan 15 at 7 39 p m to discuss suggestions. A public meeting is set for Feb 2 at South Frederick Intermediate at 7 30 p m to gather community input and present a full project explanation. Members of the MIRROR Advisory Board are chaired by Mrs Joyce Hall with numerous community leaders and educators listed.
