Execution of Thomas J Cluverius in Virginia
Thomas Judson Cluverius, convicted murderer of his second cousin Fannie Lillian Madison, was executed on the scaffold yesterday in Rreusoxp Virginia. He remained calm, ate a hearty breakfast, and took a steady walk to the scaffold as thousands watched. The scene drew about 500 prisoners with permits and about 5000 bystanders as the death warrant was read and his fate sealed.
