Fusion Systems Wins Japan Patents for Ultraviolet Baking Method
Fusion Systems Corp of Rockville announced it received Japanese patents for two semiconductor manufacturing processes, including an ultraviolet baking method and apparatus to harden patterns. Ushio Electric opposed the registrations but failed. Fusion has sold products in Japan via Tokyo Electron Ltd, Ushio’s rival.

FCNB Corp the holding company for FCNB Bank Frederick declares an increased quarterly dividend for Q4 of 16 cents per share plus a year end special 5 cents totaling 21 cents per share payable Jan 31 to stockholders of record Jan 20. Fourth quarter 1994 net income was 1.246 million 52 cents per share vs 1993 1.208 million 51 cents. Full year 1994 net income 5.157 million 2.18 per share vs 4.762 million 2.02 in 1993. Assets Dec 31 1994 exceed 438 million up 8.19 percent from 1993. Loans rose over 22 percent, deposits up 8.83 percent. FCNB cites expansion through Bank of Baltimore Damascus Center acquisition adding 8 million in deposits. FCNB forecasts NASDAQ trading gains and a merger with ENB Financial Corp pending regulatory approval to form a multi bank holding company. FCNB operates 13 offices in Frederick Carroll and Montgomery counties. Established 1818, FCNB Bank is FDIC insured and an Equal Housing Lender.
