Wills often flawed in probate cases warn officials
Register of Wills Harry D. Radcliff says many wills fail to meet maker intent. Among three probate submissions, one was invalid for lack of witnesses, another lacked named executors, forcing administrators to sell real estate in equity court, increasing costs. He notes such mistakes arise from lay authors and misapplied savings, urging proper drafting to realize the maker’s wishes. Also reported: private detective Steve Broady, 32, jailed two to four years for wire tapping. New York fur industry fair planned by Commerce Dept at the city Coliseum next year.
