County Officials Hold Meet
ANNAPOLIS AP The James' Committee report on political subdivisions a State rehabilitation center for alcoholics and an election occupied the State Association of County Commissioners as Del Blair Lee warned changes in the James program may occur. Lee said a House subcommittee will study inequities and cautioned Baltimore City is no longer flush with funds. He ruled out using sales or personal income taxes for counties. Kaufman urged backing a state run rehabilitation center for chronic alcoholics ideally on a farm at a projected cost around 2.5 million. Shriver and Goldstein addressed the group outlining current and proposed fiscal plans for subdivisions.
