Schooner Samuel L. Russell Sinks in Chesapeake Bay
The Norfolk schooner Samuel L. Russell capsized in lower Chesapeake Bay with five crew aboard missing and presumed drowned. The lumber laden vessel sailed from Norfolk for Baltimore Monday night in tow of the tug Volunteer, commanded by Captain T B Jones with a four man crew aboard.
