Gospel Services Draw Huge City Opera House Crowd
Rev. A. H H Zimmerman of the Methodist Episcopal Church led the second Sunday gospel gathering in the City Opera House. The crowd filled the downstairs and gallery, with an overture and hymn as the choir, mainly Epworth League members, performed. Zimmerman spoke on Heaven, inspiring deep interest and fervent response. He noted the Charity Wood Yard relief efforts aiding the poor, and the event helped prompt a Frederick bar owner to cease business. The service ended with a benediction by Rev. C. W. Stneapring.
