Montgomery police investigate the late Monday shooting at a Brucar Court home in Gaithersburg Montgomery County. Officers found a man believed to be in his late teens dead inside the residence and continued inquiries as family notification proceeded.
Fire department dispatches show multiple vehicle and house fires near Emmitsburg Getty Mart New Market and Independence area. Ambulance units responded to gas leaks and smoke odors at several addresses including Thurmont Jefferson and Carroll Manor with several townhouse and store fires under investigation.
In Bridgeport an eight year old witness and his mother Karen Clarke were found shot dead in their apartment. The child had identified gunman Russell Peeler in a prior drive by killing of Rudolph Snead Jr. Authorities discuss witness protection limits and prior police supervision, with Peeler’s bond conditions and monitoring noted.
Maryland State Police said a break in at Al's Pizza in Hagerstown occurred early Monday at 2 47 am. The front door was pried open and a large number of cigarettes were reported stolen. Police urge anyone with information to contact 201 739 2101.

They allege she offered a co worker 50000 to arrange the murder during a Valentine weekend on the Eastern Shore. Investigators found a $200000 life insurance policy and notes of poisoning plans as the couple attended a suspected onstage murder mystery.
