French dreadnought Courbet sunk by Austrian sub No 12
Vienna reports the French battleship Courbet was sunk after an attack by Austrian submarine No 12. The sister ship Jean Bart attempted to tow her, rammed the Courbet, then docked at Malta. The loss reveals concealment by French officials and places the squadron in the Adriatic with Pola as the Austrian base.
