War Plant Workers Get Allotments Elsewhere
County officials say they have no control over gasoline allotments for defense plant workers located outside the county. Local boards issue gas coupons only for workers within the city or county, while plants in other areas manage their own arrangements. The board seeks conservation through contacts with plants and transportation committees despite not governing nonlocal allotments.
