Flemington New Jersey January 11 AP reports the first known $50 000 Lindbergh ransom bill was found in a Broadway bank near the Majestic apartments where Bruno Richard Hauptmann worked before the ransom. Federal agent Frank Wilson testified noting April 7 or 8 1932 as the approximate circulation date, with the ransom paid April 2. The state expert Albert Osborn Sr identified Hauptmann handwriting as that of the notes, linking him to the crime. Wilson described planning to log serial numbers of ransom currency and circulating 250 000 letters to banks. The state notes the $14 600 found in Hauptmanns Bronx garage as part of the money. The trial named Hauptmann repeatedly as the man. An Annapolis item names Walter W Dawson named attorney for Montfoerry County Planning Commission.
