Post offices across the county work to resume service after a blizzard nearly halted East Coast mail. On Tuesday many routes could not reach all addresses due to unplowed subdivisions and buried mailboxes. By Wednesday morning, postmasters reported progress with most routes being attempted and mail delivery resuming. About 15,000 of Frederick's 37,000 addresses received mail on Tuesday, with some carriers completing their routes. The Frederick post office no longer urges residents to pick up undelivered mail in branches as service returns to normal.
