The Middletown High School, nearly complete, will be put in use the first full week of February per the Board of Education. Two other new elementary schools at Brunswick and Woodsboro are nearing readiness, with Emmitsburg High School addition possibly ready soon. Furniture is arriving, and despite unfinished items, the schools will be usable. The openings aim to ease crowded conditions and end much of the county’s current building program outside Frederick city.
