Middletown man guilty of taking items from car
Kenneth J. Mason of Middletown admitted two theft counts for breaking into a BMW last May 12 and taking a wallet two cameras and cash. He received 180 days in detention with 170 suspended and must repay 293.50 to Kettler and 150 to the state. Co-defendant John J. Wagner Jr. received probation before judgment for theft. A separate case involved Erica D. Stone Weedon for attempted robbery and assault with sentencing postponed for a presentence review.

The board of education and Frederick County Teachers Association held an amiable productive one hour talk with no reportable contract action. A further negotiating session is planned for next Wednesday as salaries remain the sole issue in the final year of the three year pact.
