State Police chase two white convicts John Chester Perry 23 Fayetteville Pa and Harold Seely 34 Hatboro Pa who escaped from Southern Correctional Institution Hunt ingdon Pa. They allegedly burgled Hubert Morrison home Peters Road Urbana and sold a 30.06 Winchester rifle to a Buckeystown man. They may have moved on toward the south after stealing rifles.

WALE a neighborly Virginia radio run from Bruce Wahl and David Lester in Wahl's Falls Church home is off the air after an FCC investigator warned the boys. Their one tenth watt broadcast carried weather news and music for about a month before the shut down amid possible legal penalties.

Tank and Truck Collision at Ft Hood Kills Four
Four soldiers died and 19 were injured in a tank and truck collision at Ft Hood. The tanks belonged to the 67th Armored and the 35th Armored units of the 2nd Armored Division. The crash occurred at the gate of the motor pool. no names released.

Aunt Sarah Collett Dies at 95 in Manchester Ky
Aunt Sarah Collett, a mountain midwife who helped deliver more than 3,000 babies in eastern Kentucky, died of a heart attack Monday. The widow worked 40 years as a midwife and in 1953 gave her last piece of land for a new Blue Hole schoolhouse later used by church groups. She said I wanted it this way.

An 18 year old Mt. Pleasant farm hand, Robert Fouche, faces two arson counts in the Darvin Barrier farm fires. He is held on $5,000 bond after a Tuesday arrest and confession. The fires damaged a bank barn and a dairy barn, with total losses around $50,000. Police credited state arson squads and local fire units for controlling spread.

Two defendants appeared in Magistrate Court this morning over alcohol related offenses. Benlney H. Shelhorse of Hagerstown was convicted of drunken driving after a weaving stop on Route 40 near South Mountain on December 15. he blamed drinking 10 to 12 beers and was fined 150 dollars. Mike R. Fox of Redland was fined 25 dollars after troopers found wine and whisky in his vehicle when it ran out of gas on Route 15 yesterday.
