Protests Filed Over Hagerstown Center Assessment
Harry Rosenfeld and attorney Vancis Urner protested the 1958 assessment on the Long Meadow Shopping Center in Hagerstown to Washington County Commissioners. They argued the Frederick center assessment of about 6 000 dollars per acre and Hagerstown center at 9 400 dollars per acre is too high. The total land assessment of 229 470 dollars was called shocking and unfair. The commissioners planned to decide after a week.
