Three Delegations Press for County Road Improvements
Delegations from Price’s Distillery to Hyattstown and from Rocky Ridge request direct road construction to shorten travel and improve connections with the Washington state road and the Baltimore road at New Market. District Engineer William F. Builds Jr. heard plans, while a second group urged a one mile stretch between Rocky Ridge and Miller’s Bridge. The callers argued the routes would cut detours, relieve current travel, and reflect county residents’ gasoline tax contributions.
