Shamu's Newborn Calf Hits Sea World Milestone
Associated Press reports Sea World in San Diego welcomed Shamu’s newborn daughter, a 30 pound calf born Sunday to 12 year old Kenna. The calf, nursing and learning her surroundings, will soon join the show, with public viewing planned from upper bleachers as modified shows resume. Sea World officials defend the breeding program amid prior criticism, noting the Florida calf birth as precedent.
