Eye Care For Snow Sportsmen
The Maryland Optometric Association urges winter sports participants to protect their eyes from wind glare and UV rays. Experts note snow reflects sunlight up to 10,000 times brighter than indoors, and recommend professionally prescribed tinted lenses, gray filters, and multiple goggle options. Skiers and snowmobilers should choose large frames with secure fit and have prescriptions ground into sunglasses or goggles.
