Baker Estate In Maryland Faces Chicken Dinner Claim
The late George H. Baker of Catectin Furnace died of carbon monoxide poisoning last Thanksgiving eve. Carl and Fraley of Thurmont told the Orphans' Court Wednesday that a claim for 312 dollars covered about 400 meals, many chicken dinners, served to the deceased. Administratrix Barbara A. Smith and Edward J. Smith questioned whether the meals justify payment. The estate total may reach about 10,000 dollars with over 3,000 dollars found in the residence. Neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Howard Anders filed another claim for 750 dollars.
