Keno opens amid equipment delays in Frederick County

At 6 01 this morning the states new keno game began with slow setup as many outlets waited for monitors. Berlin Cafe in Brunswick reported 30 to 35 customers and some winners while others like Jerry's Liquors and Browns Liquor Store faced ticket or monitor shortages. State official Carroll Hynson Jr. said 600 outlets were to be equipped at opening and 1 800 by year end, but several outlets remained monitorless and frustrated over slow delivery and wiring costs.
