Frederick County Evening High School adds seven new classes
Beginning this month at least seven new classes will be offered by the Frederick County Evening High School. Enrollment is open to residents 16 and older, with a $5 registration fee plus a small book deposit for those over 21. Courses include non graded English, woodworking, machine shop, keypunch, typing, three levels of math, and social studies.

Frederick Community College Announces January Courses and Mini Semester
Frederick Community College starts a two week mini semester from January 6 to 17 with 11 short courses including Political Issues and an Intensive Newspaper Workshop. The regular spring semester begins January 20 with new courses such as Principles of Modern Dairying and Foundations of Sensory and Motor Development in the Exceptional Child. Registration day is January 13 from 8:30 am to 5 pm and 6 to 9 pm.

Robin D. Randolph daughter of Mrs Nancy V Randolph of Rt 1 Williamsville has been assigned to Sheppard AFB Texas after basic training. Burned checks replaced after Frederick YMCA fire
The Dec 6 fire at the old Frederick YMCA destroyed hundreds of Frederick County Social Services Public Assistance records. Howard R. Albert presented Jerold Buhrman with duplicate checks and a novelty stamp moistened beef tongue to speed processing. Mrs Geneva Barthel says service continues from four locations and a centralized office will open soon at 400 E Church Street with the main temporary site at the Goodwill Building.
