IPGs Set to Make Channel Surfing Easier and More Interactive
IPGs or interactive program guides promise far richer TV navigation for satellite and cable users. They will display upcoming shows with capsule descriptions, sort by genre, show what’s on other channels, let viewers tune into broadcasts without channel names, and even program VCRs with a button press. Major players like StarLight Telecast, TV Guide On Screen, Prevue Networks, DirecTV, USSB, RCA, and Viacom-backed ventures push newer guides to households and dish owners.

He was evacuated by ambulance after oxygen and rest for exhaustion, citing morning soccer games and a large lunch as factors, and he saluted Brazil’s 1994 World Cup win with 100 autographed soccer balls. Brazil’s 1994 Guinness record notes Jorge Benjor’s 3 million open-air concert in Copacabana Beach.
