New York Builds Food Defense System for Atomic Blitz
New York City has ready a food supply defense plan to endure an atomic blitz. It relies on merchant participation and transport operators, with Masciarelli stating the city could keep food lines open even if 65 percent of supply channels failed. The metropolitan area consumes 54 million pounds daily, sourced nationwide and abroad, and distributed via warehouses and storage plants. The emergency system unites haulers and distributors into a mutual aid force ready to act at a moment’s notice.
