John W. Spencer, 100, longtime Mount Airy resident and retired B&O Railroad track foreman, died Wednesday at Frederick Health Care Center. Born June 23, 1898, he was husband of the late Beatrice G. Spencer and son of John W. and Alberta Fossett Spencer. Survived by daughter Nadine Johnson and many relatives. Funeral services set for 10 a.m. Monday January 4 at Clin Ly Molesworth Funeral Home Damascus with callers from 3 a.m. until service. The Rev. Edward Conaway and Rev. Sharron Hall will officiate. Interment Lake View Memorial Park Sykesville.
