Firefighters Fight Three Fires Across Four Departments
New Year's Day kept firefighters busy in Frederick County with three separate blazes. At 4:00 pm two barns and a storage shed burned on properties including Old Frederick Road and Pleasant View Road. The Marshall Ray Seiss barn fire caused $10,000 damage to barn equipment and hay. A third blaze on Apples Church Road engulfed a barn used for cattle shelter and destroyed the structure. owners were not identified.
