Evangelism Mission by Lutherans Plans and Teachings
About 15 Lutheran pastors and lay leaders from Frederick county met at the Evangelical Lutheran church to plan a weeklong evangelism mission set for next December 2. The group approved a 5500 budget and will form area committees to coordinate preaching, instruction for lay workers, and permanent programs. Rev Charles F Trunk Jr. said the mission aims to strengthen faith and evangelism in daily life. A May meeting of the area committee is planned. Miss Barbara Freshman of Thurmont and Miss June Pastorett of Rocky Ridge signed teaching contracts in Carroll County for the coming year, both seniors at Saint Joseph College Emmitsburg.
