Two workers, Leroy McLaughlin and Herbert Helster, died in a February 29 explosion at the North Star straw board mills in Quincy Alabama. Five others were injured, two critically, as damage reached about $199,000 according to Associated Press reports.

Accident Victim Buried In Mourning for Lo Mo Bradt
Funeral services for Lo Mo Bradt of Hagerstown were held in Hagerstown at the Masonic Temple with Rev J Ede ward Harms officiating. Bradt died Saturday when his auto left the road and overturned in a stream near Middletown, breaking his neck. He belonged to Chillicothe Mo A F and A M Shrine groups and had worked as a day clerk in a Chillicothe hotel for four years before leaving September 14 to return home at his widowed mother’s request.
