Sheriff Testifies on Kohler Strike and Gunned Picketing
Former Sheriff Mosch testified before the Senate Rackets Committee that he was ousted from the Republican Party for refusing to use guns against mass picketing at the Kohler Co plant in Kohler Wisconsin during a four year UAW strike. He said a $300 campaign contribution from the UAW may have influenced his removal and that he believed armed force would have caused bloodshed. The hearing reviewed evidence of violence including a long film showing picketing and fist fighting.
